lohamadhvājyagaṃ tāraṃ dhmātaṃ cetpūrvamānakam /
tadā lohaṃ nirutthaṃ syādanyathā sādhayetpunaḥ //

If iron placed in honey and ghee, [or] silver, blown [with a blowpipe], retains its previous weight, / then the iron is non-revivable; otherwise, one should process it again.
