Rasendracūḍāmaṇi 10.121

śanairāsphālayed bhūmau yathā nālaṃ na bhajyate /
vaṅgābhaṃ patitaṃ sattvaṃ tadādāya niyojayet //
one should tap it gently on the ground so that the tubular neck is not broken;
the metallic essence falls out resembling tin; having collected it, one should employ it.
