{mākṣikarasāyana (1)}
mākṣīkasattvena rasasya piṣṭīṃ kṛtvā vilīne ca baliṃ nidhāya /
saṃmiśrya saṃmardya ca khalvamadhye nikṣipya sattvaṃ drutamabhrakasya ca //

Having made an amalgam paste of mercury with the metallic essence of pyrite, and having placed sulphur into it when liquefied,
Having mixed and ground it in a mortar, and having cast in melted metallic essence of mica,
