Rasendracudamani 11.17

11.17

sūtreṇa veṣṭayitvātha yāmaṃ taile nimajjayet /
dhṛtvā saṃdaṃśato vartiṃ sarvāṃ prajvālayettataḥ //

Then bound with a thread, one should submerge it in oil for one yāma;
Having held the wick with forceps, one should then ignite the whole [wick];
