rasendrajāraṇaṃ lohadrāvaṇaṃ jaṭharāgnikṛt /
gulmaplīhāsyaśoṣaghnaṃ bhuktamāṃsādijāraṇam /
viḍākhyaṃ ca tridoṣaghnaṃ cūlikālavaṇaṃ matam //

It digests mercury, liquefies iron, and stimulates the gastric fire; / it cures abdominal lumps, spleen disease, and dryness of the mouth, digests consumed meat and the like, / is termed viḍa, destroys the three humours, and is regarded as cūlikālavaṇa.
