yāmamātraṃ pacet samyak mṛtānyākṛṣya cūrṇayet /

tadbhasma vallamātraṃ hi tāmbūlīdalaveṣṭitam //
one should cook it properly for just one yāma; removing the killed [sheets], one should crush them into powder.
