nikṣiptaṃ vadane vahner gaṅgāyām apatacca tat /
gaṅgayā ca bahiḥkṣiptaṃ nitarāṃ dahyamānayā //
It was thrown into the mouth of Agni, and it fell into the Gaṅgā; and by the Gaṅgā, being utterly scorched, it was cast outside.
