rasasyauṣadhayuktasya bhāṇḍaṃ ruddhvātiyatnataḥ /
sadāgniyutacullyantaḥ kṣepaḥ saṃnyāsa ucyate //

Sealing the vessel of mercury combined with medicaments with great care,
and throwing it inside a hearth that has continuous fire, is called laying-in (saṃnyāsa).
