4.81

{svāṅgaśītala}
vahnisthameva śītaṃ yat taduktaṃ svāṅgaśītalam /
{bahiḥśītala}
agnerākṛṣṭaśītaṃ ca tadbahiḥśītamīritam //

{Svāṅgaśītala}
That which cools while remaining on the fire itself is called self-cooled;
{Bahiḥśītala}
and that which cools when pulled away from the fire is declared externally cooled.
