Rasendracūḍāmaṇi 5.119

aṣṭāṅgulaṃ ca sacchidraṃ sā syādvṛntākamūṣikā /
anayā kharparādīnāṃ mṛdūnāṃ sattvamāharet //
eight finger-breadths [long] and provided with a hole, that is the vṛntākamūṣikā. / Using this, one may extract the essence of soft substances such as calamine.
