pūrṇaṃ copalasāhasraiḥ kaṇṭhāvadhyatha nikṣipet /
vinyaset kumudīṃ tatra puṭanadravyapūritām //

filled with a thousand [cowdung] cakes up to the brim, one should then place [the vessel]; / one should set the *kumudī* [crucible] there, filled with the substance to be calcinated;
