nirudhya mūṣayor vaktraṃ vālukāyantrake kṣipet /
adho'gniṃ jvālayedetattulāyantramudāhṛtam //
Having sealed the mouths of the two crucibles, one should place [them] in a sand apparatus. / One should ignite a fire beneath; this is declared as the balance apparatus.
