{śodhanīyagaṇaḥ}
kācaṭaṅkaṇaśiprābhiḥ śodhanīyo gaṇo mataḥ /
sattvānāṃ baddhasūtasya lohānāṃ malanāśanaḥ /
kāpālikāgaṇadhvaṃsī rasavādibhirucyate //

[Purifying Group]
With glass, borax, and oystershell, the purifying group is recognized; / it is the destroyer of impurities in metallic essences, bound mercury, and metals, / and is declared by alchemists to destroy the film [on metals].
