tat dvidhābhūdbahiḥ prāpya caikaṃ skandaprasūtaye /
anyacchuddharaso jāto hyāpadaṃbudhipāradaḥ //

Having reached the outside, that divided into two parts: one for the birth of Skanda, / while the other became pure mercury, which carries [beings] across the ocean of misfortunes.
