oṃ namo māyāgaṇapataye kuberāya svāhā /
ayaṃ bhakṣaṇamantraḥ /
<9. śunakaśālmalīkalpaḥ>
atha vakṣyāmi deveśi kalpaṃ śunakaśālmaleḥ /
aṣṭamyāṃ kṛṣṇapakṣasya snātvā rātrau samāhitaḥ //

"Oṃ, homage to the illusory Gaṇapati, to Kubera, svāhā!"
This is the mantra for ingestion.
<9. Regimen of Śunakaśālmalī>
Now I shall proclaim, O Goddess of the gods, the regimen of śunakaśālmalī:
Having bathed on the eighth day of the dark fortnight, composed at night,
