pīṭhe saṃsthāpayelliṅgaṃ mūlenārghyaṃ kuśodakaiḥ /
pādyaṃ gandhodakairdadyāt haimenācamanaṃ bhavet //

One should install the liṅga upon the pedestal, and offer water for respectful reception with kuśa-grass water using the root-mantra,
water for the feet with scented water, and the sipping water should be [offered] from a golden vessel.
