śoṣayitvā dhamet kiṃcit sutapte'tha jale kṣipet /
tasmādrasaṃ samuddhṛtya trikandarasabhāvitam //

Having dried it, one should blow upon it slightly; then, when well heated, one should cast it into water;
having extracted the mercury from it, macerated with the juice of the three tubers,
