sa nāgo dravate yāvattāvadevaṃ dhametpriye /
yāvanna yāti kāṭhinyaṃ tāvannaiva dhametsudhīḥ //
One should blow with the bellows only as long as that lead melts, O beloved; / as long as it does not reach hardness, the wise one should not blow at all.
