chidre saṃyojayennālaṃ nālāgre ghaṭikāṃ nyaset /
kumbhe sarjādiniryāsaṃ kṣiptvā vaktraṃ nirodhayet //

one should join into the hole; at the end of the tube one should place a small jar.
Having thrown resin such as that of the sarja tree into the pot, one should block its mouth.
