yantreṇālambayenmūrdhni nirudhya ca viśoṣya ca /
sthālīkaṇṭhaṃ tato dadyātpuṭānalavidhāraṇam //
One should suspend [the upper vessel] over the crown by means of the apparatus, seal it, and dry it; / then around the neck of the pot one should apply the fire-restraining seal of the calcination pit.
