<samukhacāraṇam>
atrādau kathyate devi samukhaṃ cāraṇaṃ sphuṭam /
samukho grasati grāsaṃ nirmukho grasanākṣamaḥ //

Consumption with a mouth [samukhacāraṇa] / Here, at first, consumption with a mouth is clearly explained, O goddess: / that which has a mouth swallows the mouthful; that which is mouthless is incapable of swallowing.
