<kāntasvarūpam>
kāntalohasya pātrasthajale tailasya bindavaḥ /
na sarpanti caṇāstvetāḥ kṛṣṇāḥ syur nātra saṃśayaḥ //

<Characteristics of magnet iron>
Drops of oil [placed] in water kept in a vessel of magnet iron / do not spread; and chickpeas [placed therein] become black, there is no doubt of this.
