koṭyāyuṣyaṃ ṣaṭpalaṃ ca surendrāyuśca saptamam /
brahmāyuṣyaṃ cāṣṭapalaṃ viṣṇutvaṃ navamaṃ palam //
Six palas grant a lifespan of ten million years, the seventh the lifespan of the lord of gods, / eight palas grant the lifespan of Brahmā, and the ninth pala grants Viṣṇu-hood.
