<bhūnāgasattvapātanam; prathamaḥ prakāraḥ>
raktabhūjātabhūnāgamṛttikāṃ kṣālayejjalaiḥ /
yāvat sattvāvaśeṣaṃ syād dhautasattvaṃ tadeva hi //

<Extraction of earthworm essence: first method>
One should wash with waters the soil of earthworms born in red earth,
until only essence remains; that alone is indeed the washed essence.
