ṣaṇmāsāntaṃ samāntaṃ vā jalaiḥ siñcenmuhurmuhuḥ /
asya sattvaṃ vidhānena gṛhṇīyād abhrasattvavat //

For six months or for a full year, one should sprinkle it repeatedly with water;
one should extract its essence according to the rule, just like mica essence.
