sāmudraṃ laghu hṛdyaṃ ca vāritāsṛjapittalam /
vidāhi kaphavātaghnaṃ dīpanaṃ rucikṛt priyam //

<Sea salt: medicinal properties> / Sea salt is light and heart-pleasing, increases water, blood, and the pitta humor; / it causes heartburn, destroys the kapha and vāta humors, kindles the digestive fire, creates relish, and is pleasant.
