ye guṇā mārite muṇḍe te guṇā muṇḍakiṭṭake /
tasmātsarvatra maṇḍūraṃ rogaśāntyai prayojayet //
Whatever qualities are found in incinerated iron, those qualities are in the dross of iron; / therefore everywhere one should employ maṇḍūra for the alleviation of diseases.
