paṅkotkarasamaḥ pūrvaḥ piṇḍapākastu madhyamaḥ /
tṛtīyaḥ kharapākaḥ syād vālukāsadṛśaḥ priye //

The first is like an accumulation of mud, while the medium is cooked into a lump; / the third is hard cooking, which resembles sand, O beloved.
