snigdhaṃ śvetaṃ pītam atrāsamantād dhatte cittaṃ svasthatāṃ yanmunīnām /
yacca drāvaṃ yāti candrāṃśusaṅge jātyaṃ ratnaṃ candrakāntākhyametat //

Unctuous, white, and yellow, it instils composure completely into the minds of sages;
and that which goes to liquefaction upon contact with moonbeams is this genuine gem called moonstone.
