11.93

hemnā tu saha dātavyaṃ sūtakaikena ṣoḍaśa
gandhanāgaṃ yadā jīrṇaṃ tadā baddho bhavedrasaḥ
hemni jīrṇe tato 'rdhena mṛtalohena rañjayet //

Along with gold, sixteen [parts] are to be given to one [part] of mercury. / When the sulfur-treated lead is digested, the mercury becomes bound; / once the gold is digested, one should color it with half that amount of calcined iron.
