āṣāḍhapūrvapakṣe tu gṛhītvā bījamuttamam
tilavat kvāthayitvā tu hastaiḥ pādairathāpi vā
tasya tailaṃ samādāya kumbhe tāmramaye kṣipet //
Taking its excellent seeds during the first fortnight of Āṣāḍha,
decocting them like sesame, then with hands or feet
collecting its oil, one should pour it into a copper pot.
