kṣetrabandhaṃ purā kṛtvā devamabhyarcya śaṃkaram
caturdaśyāṃ ca tatkṣetraṃ pūjayitvā vicakṣaṇaḥ
ahorātroṣito bhūtvā baliṃ tatra nivedayet //
Having first performed the protection of the site, having worshipped the god Śaṅkara, / and having venerated that site on the fourteenth [lunar day], the wise man, / having fasted for a day and night, should offer an oblation there.
