māṣaṃ trimāṣaṃ triguṇaṃ bhakṣayettu krameṇa tu
varṣatrayaparaṃ devi pādaniṣkārdhakaṃ kramāt //
One should ingest one māṣa, three māṣas, and three times that in succession; / after three years, O Devī, [the dose is] progressively one-fourth, then half a niṣka.
