tato nirīkṣya taddīpaṃ sarvāstatra kumārikāḥ
paśyanti devatā dīpe kumārāśca śubhāśubham
siddhiṃ vāpyathavāsiddhiṃ kathayanti kumārikāḥ //
Then, looking into that lamp, all the maidens there / [and] the boys see the deity in the lamp, and good and bad fortune; / the maidens declare success or failure.
