aṣṭamyāṃ paurṇamāsyāṃ ca amāvāsyāṃ yugādiṣu
ayane viṣuve caiva caturdaśyāṃ viśeṣataḥ
rasotsavaṃ prakurvīta yathāvittānusārataḥ //
On the eighth day, on the full moon, on the new moon, at the start of yugas, / at the solstices, at the equinoxes, and especially on the fourteenth day, / one should celebrate the festival of mercury according to one's wealth.
