anaṅkuśaṃ samāruhya vane mattagajaṃ yathā
tathā rasāṅkuśābhijño rasendraṃ prāpya sīdati //
Just as one who mounts a rutting elephant in the forest without a goad [comes to grief], / so one ignorant of the mercury-goad comes to grief upon obtaining the lord of mercury.
