na visphuliṅgo na ca budbudaśca yadā na rekhāpaṭalaṃ na śabdaḥ
mūṣāgataṃ ratnasamaṃ sthiraṃ ca tadā viśuddhaṃ pravadanti loham //
When there is no spark, no bubble, no film of streaks, and no sound,
[and] it is jewel-like in the crucible and motionless, then they pronounce the metal purified.
