vindhyasya dakṣiṇe cāsti uttare nāsti sarvathā
vikṛntayati lohāni tena vaikrāntakaḥ smṛtaḥ //
It exists to the south of the Vindhya, and never to the north; / it cuts metals, therefore it is called vaikrānta.
