6.78

yathā jātistathotsāhaṃ yathā sattvaṃ tathā guṇān
yathā rucistathā śīlaṃ yathā śīlaṃ tathā varam
yathā varastathā varṇaṃ kurvanti kuliśāḥ priye //

As the caste, so the vigor; as the essence, so the qualities;
as the luster, so the character; as the character, so the excellence;
as the excellence, so the color that diamonds produce, O beloved.
