snigdhaḥ śīto gurur mandaḥ ślakṣṇo mṛtsnaḥ sthiraḥ kaphaḥ |
saṃsargaḥ saṃnipātaś ca tad-dvi-tri-kṣaya-kopataḥ || 12 ||
Phlegm is unctuous, cold, heavy, slow, smooth, slimy, and firm.
Combination of two and combination of all three [arise] from their twofold and threefold decrease and aggravation. || 12
