madyaṃ na peyaṃ peyaṃ vā sv-alpaṃ su-bahu-vāri vā |
anya-thā śoṣa-śaithilya-dāha-mohān karoti tat || 29 ||
Liquor should not be drunk, or drunk in very small quantity with a great deal of water; / otherwise it produces emaciation, slackness, burning sensation, and stupefaction.
