dhārayet pūraṇaṃ karṇe karṇa-mūlaṃ vimardayan |
rujaḥ syān mārdavaṃ yāvan mātrā-śatam a-vedane || 32 ||
One should retain the filling in the ear while massaging the base of the ear,
until there is softening of pain, or for a hundred mātrās when there is no pain.
