kaṣāya-vartma-tāṃ gharṣaṃ kṛcchrād unmeṣaṇaṃ bahu |
vikāra-vṛddhim aty-alpaṃ saṃrambham a-parisrutam || 6 ||
[Excessively] copious [washing causes] roughness of the eyelids, irritation, and difficulty in opening [the eye]; / too little [causes] increase of the disorder, while un-drained [drops cause] violent inflammation. || 6
