ṛtvor antyādi-saptāhāv ṛtu-saṃdhir iti smṛtaḥ |
tatra pūrvo vidhis tyājyaḥ sevanīyo 'paraḥ kramāt || 58 ||
The final and initial seven days of two seasons are known as the seasonal junction (ṛtusaṃdhi); / there, the previous regimen should be abandoned and the other adopted gradually.
