dhārayet tu sadā vegān hitaiṣī pretya ceha ca |
lobherṣyā-dveṣa-mātsarya-rāgādīnāṃ jitendriyaḥ || 24 ||

However, one desiring welfare both here and in the hereafter should always suppress the urges / of greed, jealousy, hatred, malice, passion, and the like, with senses restrained. || 24
