āyuḥ-kāmayamānena dharmārtha-sukha-sādhanam |
āyur-vedopadeśeṣu vidheyaḥ param ādaraḥ || 2 ||
By one desiring life, which is the means to achieve virtue, wealth, and pleasure,
the highest respect should be paid to the teachings of Āyurveda. || 2
