sṛṣṭa-mūtra-purīṣāś ca pūrvaṃ pūrvaṃ ca ninditāḥ |
snigdho grāhī laghuḥ svādus tri-doṣa-ghnaḥ sthiro himaḥ || 7 ||

And they release urine and feces, and each preceding one is censured [more]; / [barley is] unctuous, bowel-binding, light, sweet, destroys the three humours, stable, and cooling.
