snehād vātaṃ ghṛtaṃ tulyaṃ yoga-saṃskārataḥ kapham |
pūrve kaṣāyāḥ sa-ghṛtāḥ sarve yojyā yathā-malam || 88 ||
ghee conquers wind on account of its unctuousness, and it conquers phlegm like [medicines] through combination and processing. / All the earlier decoctions, mixed with ghee, are to be employed according to the waste product.
