ete hi kapha-saṃruddha-gati-prāṇa-prakopa-jāḥ |
tasmāt tan-mārga-śuddhy-artham ūrdhvādhaḥ śodhanaṃ hitam || 8 ||
For these [conditions] arise from the provocation of the vital breath whose passage is obstructed by phlegm; / therefore, purification upward and downward is beneficial in order to cleanse its channels. // 8
