vāta-śleṣma-haraṃ śuṣkaṃ sarvam āmaṃ tu doṣalam |
kaṭūṣṇo vāta-kapha-hā piṇḍāluḥ pitta-vardhanaḥ || 105 ||
Dried, all [vegetables] remove wind and phlegm; raw, however, they increase the humours. / Pungent and hot, piṇḍālu destroys wind and phlegm and increases bile. // 105
